Drata organises a company’s compliance work. cybee protects the Macs your team works on for free, and on the Proof plan it fixes weak settings once the owner says yes. A check can find a weak setting. Here is who fixes it, and who records the result.

In one minute

- Drata brings compliance work together. It collects evidence through connected systems and adds risk management, questionnaire workflows and a Trust Center.

- Its device agent reads how each computer is set up, normally once a day. Reading a setting is different from changing it or protecting the Mac.

- cybee protects your Macs for free. On the Proof plan it fixes weak settings after the owner says yes, and keeps a dated record.

- If Drata runs your programme, keep it. This page compares jobs, not whole platforms.

## A check finds a weak setting. Somebody still has to fix it.

Compliance evidence and security work meet at the Mac. A finding in a report is where the work starts. Whoever asks next wants to know the setting was fixed, and since when.

on a review

### An auditor asks whether a setting held.

Not that it was checked once. That it stayed on, with dates, on every Mac.

### A client asks whether screens lock.

“Do all laptops lock when nobody is at them?”

A yes has to include the one Mac where screen lock was off on Thursday.

### Your insurer asks what watches your Macs.

They want to know that protection runs on every Mac, and since when.

## Who handles each job. As each product describes it.

The Drata column repeats only what Drata’s own pages say. Check the plan you have before you decide: a capability on a product page may not be in it.

| The job | Drata | cybee |
|---|---|---|
| Built for the job it exists to do | A broader compliance programme: compliance automation, risk management, a Trust Center and questionnaire workflows, with evidence collected through connected systems. | Protecting the Macs a small team works on, fixing their settings and proving it when a client, an insurer or a partner asks. |
| Protection stops bad software while it runs | The device agent observes configuration. Evidence of protection can also come from connected protection products, such as SentinelOne. | Watches what programs do on supported Macs, checks files against known bad software and stops suspicious activity. | Safer settings the Mac’s own safety switches | Tracks controls and their evidence within the compliance programme. The device agent reads settings and normally syncs once a day. | Checks 118 settings against a public list of the safest Mac settings. The Proof plan sets them and keeps them on. Free Proof plan |
| Fixing a finding who changes the setting | The documented device agent reads configuration. Reading a setting is different from changing it. | You ask in the chat. cybee asks the person who uses that Mac, and nothing changes until they say yes. Proof plan |

**Q:** What is Drata?

### Drata, in plain words.

Drata supports a broader compliance programme. It covers compliance automation, risk management, a Trust Center and questionnaire workflows, and it collects evidence through connected systems. That wider view helps a team organise evidence beyond its devices.

Its device agent is one specific part. It reads configuration information and normally syncs once a day. That is different from changing a Mac’s settings or acting as its malware protection. Drata also documents an integration that collects protection evidence from SentinelOne.

**Q:** What is a compliance programme?

### A compliance programme, in plain words.

It is the work a company does to earn an ISO 27001 certificate or a SOC 2 report. You write policies, review risks, check your suppliers and who has access, train people, and then an outside auditor looks at all of it.

Part of that work depends on your Macs: encryption, safe settings and protection. cybee covers that part. It does not touch the rest, and it is not the audit.

**Q:** Where do the 118 checks come from?

### Where the checks come from.

Your Mac has many security settings. Some are off, and some get switched off over time.

cybee checks them against the CIS Benchmark, a public, industry maintained list of the safest settings for macOS. Many compliance frameworks accept it as a baseline for secure settings. On the Proof plan, cybee sets them that way and switches them back if anyone changes them.

**Q:** What is a Trust Passport?

### The Trust Passport.

The Trust Passport is a dated record of how your Macs are protected. Your client or insurer opens it through one link and sees what holds, since when, and what cybee could not see. It is not a certification or an audit, and it does not answer for your policies, your people or your cloud. It says so on the page.

Sealed means the record carries a fingerprint, a short code made from its content. Your client can compare it with the copy cybee sealed and see whether anything was changed afterwards. That shows the record was not edited. It does not check the facts a second time.

## Make the decision on one task. The finding in front of you.

the laptop check says

### “Screen lock needs attention.” Three steps to closed.

1

Finding.

Read which Mac failed and which setting was checked.

2

Change.

Assign the fix. When the change is asked for in the chat, the Mac’s owner confirms it.

3

New result.

Check the updated value before you mark the issue resolved.

A finding is not a completed fix.

Figure: The finding, Mira’s yes, the new result. Two dated records, kept apart.

If Drata runs your programme

Keep programme ownership, policies and audit work where they belong. Agree how any cybee record would enter the review. cybee does not connect to Drata.

## Keep what works. Add only what is missing.

Choose by the job that is still open. One of these four will sound like your team.

Keep Drata

### Drata runs your compliance programme, and its evidence already answers what your clients ask.

Keep it. Adding software may not help, and two tools doing one job is more to look after.

Check first, then decide

### Your checks find weak settings on Macs, and they stay open.

Check what your current tools can change, and who approves it. If findings stay open, cybee can fix the setting after the owner says yes and record the result. Agree first how that record enters your review.

Start with cybee

### Nobody runs security for you, and your team works on Macs.

Protection is free for every Mac, and you run it by asking your AI assistant. Add the Proof plan when someone asks you for proof.

Not cybee alone

### The request needs policies, supplier reviews or an audit.

cybee does not take over that work. A compliance programme does, and cybee can supply the facts about your Macs inside it.

Where cybee stops

It is not a certification or an audit, and it does not write your policies. No security team watches your Macs for you. cybee stops bad software while it runs and sends an alert. A change to a setting waits for a yes from the person who uses that Mac. It runs on Macs with an Apple chip, M1 or newer. Windows, Linux and Microsoft 365 are not supported today. They are being built.

## Free for every Mac. You pay when you need to prove it.

The protection is free because we want every Mac in a small company protected. We earn money when a company has to prove it.

## Before you choose.

**Q:** Does cybee replace Drata?

Not as a broad compliance platform. cybee adds protection, safer settings and dated technical evidence. Policies, supplier reviews and audit work remain separate responsibilities.

**Q:** Is the Drata device agent a protection product?

The documented device agent reads configuration. That is not the same as endpoint protection, which stops bad software while it runs. This describes the device agent, not Drata’s entire platform, and not its Agent Governance product, which is in limited availability.

**Q:** Does cybee connect to Drata?

cybee does not connect to Drata. Agree with whoever runs your review how a cybee record would enter it.

**Q:** What is free, and what does the Proof plan add?

Protection, the settings checks, the list of AI tools on each Mac and Google Workspace visibility are free. The Proof plan adds safer settings kept on, the sealed Trust Passport and security training, with a 14 day trial. It costs CHF 9 per Mac per month, or 90 a year, excluding tax. To try it, ask your AI assistant for the Trust Passport and use the Stripe link it sends.

**Q:** What does the Trust Passport show?

Which Macs were checked and when, including gaps. Its seal can be checked against cybee’s copy. It is not an independent audit or a certification. Google Workspace accounts have a separate record.

**Q:** What leaves my Mac?

Detection, checks and fixes run on the Mac. What leaves it is security information: events, which settings are on, which apps, browser extensions and AI agents are installed, what the agents are connected to and what cybee recorded them doing. Never the contents of your files, and never passwords or tokens. cybee AG is a Swiss company, hosted in Europe. [Security and privacy details](https://cybee.ai/security/)
