## Procurement wants a security page. Before the contract can close.

For a small team, security turns urgent when someone outside the company asks. Before you add a tool, find out what they still need that you cannot show yet.

before a deal

### Procurement asks for your security information.

“Can you share your security page before we sign?”

They want documents and facts in one place, with dates.

in a questionnaire

### A client asks about each laptop.

Which Macs, which settings, since when. A general statement will not answer it.

at renewal

### Your insurer asks what watches your Macs.

They want to know that protection runs on every Mac, and since when.

## Who handles each job. As each product describes it.

The Iru column repeats only what Iru’s own pages say. Compare the Iru products you license and use: the family covers more than one job.

What each product does. Iru details from its own pages, checked 18.09.2026.

| The job | Iru | cybee |
|---|---|---|
| Built for the job it exists to do | A family of products: device management and security, plus identity and compliance, across several operating systems. | Protecting the Macs a small team works on, and proving it when a client, an insurer or a partner asks. |
| Running the devices setup, updates, rules | Management products deploy devices, keep them updated and enforce policies. | Security on supported Macs. Not general fleet administration. |
| Protection stops bad software while it runs | A dedicated endpoint security product provides detection and response. | Watches what programs do on supported Macs, checks files against known bad software and stops suspicious activity. Free |
| Safer settings the Mac’s own safety switches | Management products enforce policies on devices, so two tools could set the same setting. | Checks 118 settings against a public list of the safest Mac settings. The Proof plan sets them and keeps them on. Free Proof plan |
| What your client receives when someone asks for proof | A Trust Center for customer facing security information, with questionnaire and document access workflows. | A sealed, dated Trust Passport for the checked Macs. Google Workspace accounts have their own record. Proof plan |
| How it is sold what you pay for | By quote, for the products you choose and the number of users and devices. | Protection and Google Workspace visibility are free. Safer settings kept on, the sealed record and training are the Proof plan: CHF 9 per Mac per month, or 90 a year, excluding tax. |

**Q:** What is Iru?

### Iru, in plain words.

Iru offers products for device management and security, and also for identity and compliance. Its scope is broader than the historical Kandji device management name.

Iru describes deploying devices, updating them and enforcing policies across several operating systems. Its endpoint security product includes detection and response.

Its Trust Center is a customer facing page for sharing, with questionnaire and document access workflows. Review which information a customer can open and how access is granted.

[The management scope, on iru.com](https://www.iru.com/products/endpoint/endpoint-management)[The security scope, on iru.com](https://www.iru.com/products/endpoint/endpoint-detection-response)[The Trust Center, on iru.com](https://www.iru.com/products/compliance/trust-center)

**Q:** What does detection and response mean?

### Detection and response, in plain words.

Software that watches a computer for signs of bad software, stops it and lets someone act on what it found. An endpoint is simply a computer someone works on, such as a Mac. Iru offers a dedicated product for this.

cybee’s free protection watches what programs do on supported Macs and stops suspicious activity and known threats. This page does not say which does it better. It is not a detection benchmark.

**Q:** Where do the 118 checks come from?

### Where the checks come from.

Your Mac has many security settings. Some are off, and some get switched off over time.

cybee checks them against the CIS Benchmark, a public, industry maintained list of the safest settings for macOS. Many compliance frameworks accept it as a baseline for secure settings. On the Proof plan, cybee sets them that way and switches them back if anyone changes them.

**Q:** What is a Trust Passport?

### The Trust Passport.

The Trust Passport is a dated record of how your Macs are protected. Your client or insurer opens it through one link and sees what holds, since when, and what cybee could not see. It is not a certification or an audit, and it does not answer for your policies, your people or your cloud. It says so on the page.

Sealed means the record carries a fingerprint, a short code made from its content. Your client can compare it with the copy cybee sealed and see whether anything was changed afterwards. That shows the record was not edited. It does not check the facts a second time.

## Make the decision on one task. The page procurement asked for.

procurement asks

### “Send us your security page.” Three steps before you add a tool.

1

What you already have.

Look at the documents and device facts you can share today.

2

What is still unanswered.

Find the exact requirement, period or device that is still missing.

3

What would help.

Consider another tool only for that remaining work.

If your current tool already has the facts, a different looking report is no reason to add another tool.

Before you add a tool

cybee may fit one focused need: Mac protection, safer settings or dated evidence. If your current setup already covers all three, another tool may be unnecessary. Agree compatibility and who owns each setting before you deploy.

Figure: One dated page about your Macs, on the Proof plan: every Mac, since when, and the one day cybee could not see.

## Keep what works. Add only what is missing.

Choose by the job that is still open. One of these four will sound like your team.

Keep Iru

### Iru’s products run and protect your devices, and your clients get what they ask for.

Keep that. If your setup covers protection, settings and evidence, another tool may be unnecessary.

Check first, then decide

### Your setup runs, but one client question is still open.

Find the exact requirement, period or device that is missing. If it is a dated fact about each Mac, cybee is one way to close it. Agree first who owns each setting.

Start with cybee

### Nobody runs security for you, and your team works on Macs.

Protection is free for every Mac, and you run it by asking your AI assistant. Add the Proof plan when someone asks you for proof.

Not cybee alone

### You also run Windows, Linux or phones, or you need identity tools.

cybee covers Macs with an Apple chip (M1 or newer). Windows and Linux are not supported today, phones are not supported and cybee does not manage identity. Keep what covers those.

Where cybee stops

It is not a device management tool, a certification or an audit. No security team watches your Macs for you. cybee stops bad software while it runs and sends an alert. A change to a setting waits for a yes from the person who uses that Mac. It runs on Macs with an Apple chip (M1 or newer). Windows, Linux and Microsoft 365 are not supported today. This page compares jobs, not detection results.

## Free for every Mac. You pay when you need to prove it.

The protection is free because we want every Mac in a small company protected. We earn money when a company has to prove it.

## Before you choose.

**Q:** Is Iru just the old Kandji device manager?

No. The current product family covers management and endpoint security, as well as identity and compliance. Look at the products you license and use, not the historical name.

**Q:** Does Iru have a page for sharing security information?

Yes. Its Trust Center supports customer facing security information and document workflows. The Trust Passport is narrower: one dated record of the Macs that run cybee, with facts taken from the Macs themselves.

**Q:** What is free, and what does the Proof plan add?

Protection, the settings checks, the list of AI tools on each Mac and Google Workspace visibility are free. The Proof plan adds safer settings kept on, the sealed Trust Passport and security training, with a 14 day trial. It costs CHF 9 per Mac per month, or 90 a year, excluding tax. To try it, ask your AI assistant for the Trust Passport and use the Stripe link it sends.

**Q:** What does the Trust Passport show?

Which Macs were checked and when, including gaps. Its seal can be checked against cybee’s copy. It is not an independent audit or a certification. Google Workspace accounts have a separate record.

**Q:** What leaves my Mac?

Detection, checks and fixes run on the Mac. What leaves it is security information: events, which settings are on, which apps, browser extensions and AI agents are installed, what the agents are connected to and what cybee recorded them doing. Never the contents of your files, and never passwords or tokens. cybee AG is a Swiss company, hosted in Europe. [Security and privacy details](https://cybee.ai/security/)
