## Your first message

Open your AI assistant.

Open Claude Code, Codex or Cursor and type /cybee. These three are AI assistants for people who write code. In the Claude desktop app, type `cybee connect` in Terminal first. For ChatGPT or Grok, write to [hello@cybee.ai](mailto:hello@cybee.ai) for the steps. We answer within one working day.

It starts a guided first conversation, in the language you write in.

What you will see: a short answer about your Macs, and questions to ask next.

Pick a question, or ask your own.

Try “Which Mac needs attention?” The answer names the Macs and counts the checks it read.

Your admin token stays private

The install saved an admin token on your Mac. It is the key that lets your AI assistant manage your Macs. Never paste it into a chat or an email, and never send it to support.

To give a second person the same access, ask your AI assistant to invite an admin. They get their own key, and you can take it away again. Do this early: if the only Mac that holds a key is lost, a second admin can still manage your Macs. A teammate’s Mac holds no admin key.

## If /cybee gets no answer

The install connects the assistants it finds on that Mac. If yours does not know /cybee, connect it from Terminal on the same Mac.

Open Terminal.

Press `Command` and `Space`, type Terminal, press `Return`.

Type this line and press Return.

`cybee connect`

What you will see: the assistants on this Mac that cybee set up.

Start a new chat and type /cybee.

A chat that was already open may not know about cybee yet.

This works for assistants that run on your Mac, such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and Codex. If you use another assistant, or yours still does not answer, email [hello@cybee.ai](mailto:hello@cybee.ai) with its name and version. We send you the steps for it.

Listed is not connected

cybee lists the AI tools it finds on your Macs. That does not connect them to cybee: only the step above does. Copilot is not supported.

## Read the answer

cybee’s designed answers come back in the same order, whichever assistant you use. You can check one in a few seconds.

The verdict comes first. What holds is counted against the total, such as 117 of 118 checks, so you can see how much was checked. What is open names the Mac and since when. If the next step changes a Mac, its owner is asked first. The record id, such as r-0926-0941, brings back what was true at that time, whenever you ask for it.

cybee has no dashboard. Your AI assistant builds any view you ask for, such as a table of every Mac and its owner.

### How your AI assistant reaches cybee.

Through MCP, the open standard that lets an AI assistant use a tool such as cybee. You type a question, your AI assistant asks cybee, and cybee answers from your Macs.

There is no login and no password. The install creates one list for all your Macs, which cybee calls your organization, and the admin token, a key that is saved on the Mac.

## Keep cybee close while you work

There is nothing new to open. cybee shows up where you already are.

### In your AI assistant

Type /cybee whenever you want to know something about your Macs. In Terminal, `cybee status` shows whether protection is on.

### In the menu bar

Each Mac shows a small cybee icon at the top of the screen. Click it to see that Mac’s status, a training that is due, or anything that needs its owner.

### On your phone

Ask the same questions from the assistant app on your phone. It answers about the Macs you connected. Protection keeps running on the Macs. Your phone itself is not protected by cybee.

When you want a paid feature

The Proof plan has a 14 day trial. Ask your AI assistant for a paid feature, such as security training, and the Stripe link for the trial arrives in the chat. This website has no checkout.

## Say yes before anything changes

A change you ask for in a chat does not happen by itself. The owner of that Mac confirms it first. Before anyone says yes:

- Read what will change.

- Check which Mac it is on.

- Ask what it means for that person’s work, and how to undo it.

Paste a client’s questionnaire

You can paste a client’s questionnaire into the chat and ask for the answers. cybee answers the questions about your Macs. Questions about policies, backups or suppliers stay yours to answer, so check each answer before you send it. Pasting never changes a Mac. Every change still waits for its owner.

## What your AI assistant sees

cybee’s answers appear inside your AI assistant’s app, so the terms of that app cover what you read there.

Behind each answer, protection and safer settings run on the Mac itself. What leaves the Mac is security facts: events, which settings are on, which apps are installed. Never file contents, saved passwords or app tokens. No AI model on our servers decides which software is bad.
