# One Mac. Your work depends on it.

> Protect the Mac you work on for free, see the AI tools and connections on it, and add a dated Trust Passport when a client asks about device security.

For independent consultants

cybee protects the Mac you work on, and gives you a dated answer when a client asks if your computer is secure.

`curl -sSf https://get.cybee.dev | sh`

From get.cybee.dev, cybee’s install server. [Read the script](https://get.cybee.dev)

Run it in Terminal, a chat, your IDE or a CLI. Keep working where you started.

Figure: Illustration: an independent consultant asks her assistant whether she can prove to a client that her Mac is encrypted. cybee answers yes, 117 of 118 checks hold on her one Mac, and names one open item: screen lock is off.

## You are the whole company. The security questions come to you.

As an independent consultant, you deliver the work and find the next client. The security questions land on your desk too: clients vet their suppliers, and a supplier of one gets the same form.

before a project

### A client sends a supplier questionnaire.

“Can you show that your computer is encrypted?”

They want a dated answer, not a screenshot.

at renewal

### Your insurer asks what protects your Mac.

Their questionnaire only sees your business from the outside. It asks what runs on your Mac, and since when.

between projects

### Old tools pile up.

An AI tool set up for a past client may still be connected to their files.

on the road

### Your Mac travels with you.

A café one day, a client’s office the next. A screen that locks itself matters more there.

Why the questions reach a team of one

26,000+

new malware samples for Mac appeared in 2025. The one Mac you work on needs looking after too.

of small and medium companies were attacked in the past 12 months. Insurers ask what protects your Mac. Have the answer ready.

## Less to remember. Something concrete to check.

Run one line in Terminal, a chat, your IDE or a CLI. cybee runs in the background, and you [ask your first question](https://cybee.ai/docs/assistant/#first-question) in your AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT. No AI assistant yet? cybee still protects your Mac and shows its status in the menu bar.

Protect Free

### Your Mac, watched all day. Even while you are with a client.

Apple checks an app when it arrives. cybee keeps watching after it starts. When a program behaves like malware, cybee stops it on your Mac and tells you in plain words.

### Tools pile up between projects. See what is still connected.

See every AI tool on your Mac and what it connects to, next to the installed apps and what each browser extension may read. Open a connection that is still set up and ask whether you still need it.

A connection that is set up does not prove it was used. Choosing what each agent may reach is planned, not live.

Fix Checking: Free Fixing: Proof plan

### A weak setting gets fixed. You say yes first.

Free: cybee checks 118 settings on your Mac, such as disk encryption and screen lock, and tells you which ones are off. Proof plan: it sets them the safe way and keeps them that way, once you say yes.

Prove Proof plan

### A client asks for proof. Send one dated link.

Keep it specific: one Mac, an observed result and a date. The Trust Passport shows which protections held on your Mac, since when, and what cybee could not see.

It is not a certification, and it says so on the page. The client decides what evidence is enough.

## Nobody buys security. Somebody else sets a date.

An agency of about ten people, all on Macs. Their insurer sent a security questionnaire.

- 23:41 Found cybee.

- 23:44 Installed.

- 23:47 First record sealed.

- 08:00 Sent to the insurer.

No demo. No call. The insurance policy was issued.

The first record shows what was true that night. Every day after adds history.

A real customer story, shared anonymously.

## Start free. Add proof when you need it.

Protecting and checking your Mac costs nothing, and stays that way. The Proof plan adds stronger settings and the sealed record, for one Mac.

## Watches programs, not people. What is in your files never leaves your Mac.

### Stays on your Mac

- The contents of your files

- Saved passwords and app tokens

- Detection, checks and fixes

### Leaves your Mac

- Security events, such as a program that was stopped

- Which settings are on

- Which apps, extensions and AI agents are installed, and what the agents are connected to

- What AI tools did, as cybee recorded it. This can include commands and file paths

- What gets stopped is decided on your Mac, not by an AI model on our servers.

- If cybee disappeared, the app on your Mac would keep protecting it.

## A few practical questions.

**Q:** What does cybee not do?

It is not a certification or an audit, and it does not answer for your policies or your cloud. It runs on Macs with an Apple chip, M1 or newer. iPhone and iPad are not supported, and Windows and Linux are in build. Choosing what each AI agent may reach is planned, not live.

**Q:** Does it cover my personal accounts?

No. The Mac checks do not establish the security of your Apple ID, your personal Gmail or every online service you use. A connected company Google Workspace has a separate account review.

**Q:** What can I send an insurer or client?

The Trust Passport: dated checks on your Mac, with anything cybee could not see listed. A connected Google Workspace has a separate record. Your policies and backups need their own answers. Training completion is recorded on the Proof plan. The recipient decides what evidence is enough.

**Q:** Do I need to be technical?

No. Run one line in Terminal, a chat, your IDE or a CLI, and keep working where you started. [The install guide](https://cybee.ai/docs/install/) shows each step, and you can send it to someone who is comfortable with a Mac. After that you ask in plain words, in the language you write in.

**Q:** Will an AI change my Mac on its own?

No. Nothing from a chat changes your Mac until you say yes.
