For the person who uses the Mac

Your company uses Cybee to keep this Mac safe. Your files and messages stay on this Mac.

## Cybee watches programs, not people.

It checks what software does on this Mac and whether its security settings are on. These are the two lists, in full.

your company can see

### Security facts about this Mac.

- the Mac’s name and macOS version

- whether protection, Full Disk Access, the firewall and disk encryption are on

- the settings checks

- threats found, with program or file name and time

- installed apps, browser extensions, startup items

- AI assistants and their outside tools

- completed lessons

your company cannot see

### What you do on this Mac.

- your screen, your typing, your browsing history

- the contents of files, emails or messages

- your location or your chats with an assistant

- the “This Mac” numbers, which never leave the Mac

There is no setting that turns any of that on.

Figure: What you see on your Mac after the install. The company link lists what the company can see.

Figure: The foot of the menu bar card on your Mac. Example data. Studio Nord is a made up company.

The card names your company at the bottom. The link lists what the company can see.

Also never sent: passwords, keys and tokens found in commands or files, and files Cybee moved to quarantine. They stay on this Mac.

## Your AI activity record stays on this Mac.

Claude Code and Cursor tell Cybee about each tool call they make. Passwords, keys and tokens are masked before anything is stored.

Your company sees the alerts, not the full record. You can read your own AI activity record with `cybee ai-activity` in Terminal.

## Questions.

Questions? Ask the person who looks after your Macs, or write to [hello@cybee.ai](mailto:hello@cybee.ai).

**Q:** Can my company turn on more?

No. There is no setting that shows your company your screen, your typing, your files or your chats. Cybee does not track how much you work.

**Q:** Does Cybee change settings on my Mac?

Only after the person who uses that Mac says yes once. After that, Cybee puts that setting back if it changes. Nothing from a chat changes a Mac on its own.

**Q:** Where do I see what Cybee found?

Click the small hexagon in the menu bar at the top of your screen. The card shows whether this Mac is protected and, when there is one, the one thing to do. [How the menu bar card works](https://cybee.ai/product/menu-bar/)
