cybee

Protect and harden the Macs. Show the resulting technical evidence.

Scytale

Run a compliance programme with software, expertise and testing services.

Separate the deliverables before choosing.

A client may request a questionnaire, an audit report, a penetration test or proof of Mac protection. A penetration test checks whether an agreed system can be attacked. A device record shows observed settings. Confirm which deliverable is required.

Agree the expected evidence with the person reviewing it before buying software or services.

Compliance software, expert support and testing.

Scytale describes a platform for evidence collection, control monitoring and compliance work, supported by human experts. Its Trust Center shares security and compliance information with customers. The combination can support a team that needs help organising its programme. Scytale platform overview

Its startup packages combine different amounts of platform access, consulting and testing. Some bundles include a web application penetration test. The exact package matters when comparing the cost and the work included. Scytale packages

Testing and daily protection do different jobs.

Scytale offers penetration testing as part of its services. A test examines an agreed scope. cybee provides ongoing protection and hardening on the Macs. Decide which systems need testing and which devices need daily protection. Scytale penetration testing

When the first questionnaire arrives.

For a founder facing the first client questionnaire, the immediate gap may be simple to name: nobody knows which Macs are protected or whether their settings are sound. cybee starts there. Free protection, alerts and CIS scoring make the device state visible. Paid hardening applies and maintains the chosen settings.

The sealed Trust Passport then gives the client a dated record of the assessed devices, including the limits. Security training is included in the paid plan. Questions and approved actions run through the assistant, with alerts shared through Slack, Teams or SMS.

If the missing work is choosing controls, writing policies, managing the wider programme or arranging a test, name that need separately. Expert support can be valuable. cybee does not become a consulting service simply because it contributes useful evidence.

Keep the experts. Give them better device facts.

When a programme is already running, the review has owners, agreed controls and a schedule. Keep those responsibilities intact. Use cybee to improve the Macs and establish the observations relevant to that programme. Ask the reviewer what evidence is needed before assuming a Passport link will answer the request.

Three jobs in a useful review
Agree the scope

Confirm required controls, systems and period with the reviewer.

Do the device work

Protect Macs, apply confirmed hardening changes and check results.

Review the evidence

Read device facts alongside policies, tests and other required evidence.

Confirm how the reviewer accepts device evidence. A native integration or automatic transfer between the products is not confirmed.

A useful record keeps its boundaries.

The device Trust Passport records controls on the Macs it assessed, with dates and coverage gaps. Its seal lets the reader check that the page has not changed against cybee’s sealed copy. It does not certify the company or replace a penetration test, policy review or audit opinion.

Connected Google Workspace visibility is free, with sealed account records and offboarding evidence in the paid plan. These account records and training completion are separate evidence sources. They should be read with their own scope, rather than treated as proof of every business practice or every cloud service.

Compare scope before comparing cost.

Scytale’s pricing page describes packages and directs buyers to discuss their requirements. Check the included framework scope, consulting and testing before comparing it with a device subscription. Request a quote for that scope. Current packages and enquiry route

cybee’s paid plan is 9 per Mac per month or 90 yearly, with the same face value in CHF, EUR and USD, excluding tax. Protection remains free. Budget separately for device security and any broader compliance work the client requires.

Common questions.

Is cybee an alternative to Scytale consulting?

No. cybee protects and hardens Macs and provides dated technical evidence. It does not take over the leadership of a compliance programme or the role of consultants and independent auditors.

Does a Trust Passport satisfy a penetration test request?

No. The device Passport describes observed controls on assessed Macs. A penetration test is a different service with its own agreed testing scope.

Can an existing Scytale programme stay in place?

Yes. Keep the existing process and experts. Confirm the technical evidence required and add the relevant device work. Agree the evidence scope with the person reviewing it.
