Before the first client file

Agree installation with the Mac owner. Check protection, encryption, screen lock and installed tools. A Mac that has not been assessed stays visible as a gap; it does not become covered just because its owner joined the team.

As the work changes

Review new assistants and configured connections. Ask what each one is for. Use recorded activity when a specific action needs context, and keep software and security settings under review. Training helps people make the everyday decisions.

When the person leaves

Review the Mac record, confirm the connected Workspace offboarding action and hand the other service checks to their owners. Keep the resulting account evidence separate from the device record.

A few practical questions.

Can we do the routine review in Chat?

Use a supported, connected assistant to ask about the setup and findings. A change requested in Chat needs confirmation from the Mac owner. If an alert or account question remains unclear, ask support.

Does offboarding remove every copy and key?

No. Company Workspace removal does not erase files someone already copied, remove access from every client service or rotate API keys. Keep those tasks with the right service owner.
