A score is the starting point.

Three hardening profiles allow settings to suit each employee. Confirm their names and included settings before rollout. Checks use the public CIS Benchmark; cybee has no formal relationship with CIS.

Review the whole change

  1. Understand the gap

Read the observed setting and the reason it matters. Keep an unassessed check distinct from a failed check.

  2. Choose the affected scope

A setting for one employee does not automatically suit everyone. Review which device and profile the change concerns.

  3. Confirm and check the outcome

After the required approval, inspect the resulting setting. A requested change and a verified outcome are different events.

Ask your assistant

Show the hardening changes proposed for this Mac. Explain their effect on my work before I confirm them.

This example explains the workflow. It does not define a released profile or recommend the same setting for every employee.

Keep the configuration in view

Ongoing hardening corrects settings that move away from the chosen profile. Check both the last observation and how long the setting has held.

Hardening is reversible. Before confirming a change, ask how it affects your work and how to undo it.

What changes when payment stops

Applied hardening stays in place, but ongoing repair of drift stops. After the grace period the account returns to the free tier. The length of that grace period needs confirmation before billing terms are final.

The paid plan is 9 per Mac per month, or 90 per year, in CHF, EUR or USD. Taxes are added separately.

Compare the plans

The next step is one command.

Protect your Mac, strengthen its settings and keep a dated record of the results.

For supported Macs. cybee is a Swiss company, independent, privacy first.
